Overview
Digital Learning Executive (DLE) – sales team member responsible for identifying, qualifying, and expanding opportunities for digital courseware solutions within higher education institutions.
Responsibilities- Identify and qualify new and existing commercial opportunities to drive adoption of Wiley digital solutions.
- Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to plan and deliver instructor training and support.
- Develop and execute strategies to retain current accounts and expand within institutions.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline; prospect, assess, and manage sales opportunities concurrently in Salesforce (SFDC).
- Present digital offerings through one‑on‑one, group, in‑person, and remote sales presentations to faculty, committees, and senior administrators.
- Provide regular reporting, account intelligence, and adoption metrics to stakeholders.
- Partner with product development, marketing, and market‑development teams to influence roadmap and digital program iterations.
- Coordinate LMS/LTI implementations, working closely with CSM to meet institutional instructor goals.
- Analyze territory data and develop territory and business plans to maximize growth.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Sales experience in higher education strongly preferred; strong drive, intellectual curiosity, and ambition acceptable in its place.
- Strong sales mindset, planning, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to navigate complex, multi‑decision‑maker sales processes.
- Self‑starter, highly organized, and able to prioritize to maximize ROI.
- Strong listening skills to understand and articulate digital solutions to faculty and students.
- Adaptability and resilience in the face of resistance or setbacks.
- Effective coaching and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reside in the Illinois territory.
- Travel 40‑60% of time (primarily by car, occasionally by air).
Salary Range: $60,400 to $89,533 USD. Final compensation is based on geographic location, skill set, and performance.
