Job Overview
As an Account Development Manager – Datacenter, you will acquire new customers and drive revenue growth by targeting mid‑tier companies and multinational corporates. You will design account acquisition strategies, build relationships with decision makers, and provide multi‑faceted solutions for our customers. Reports to the Industry Sales Manager, Discrete.
Responsibilities- Set clear objectives for each sales call or meeting.
- Tailor and deliver presentations to decision makers and influencers within the customer organization.
- Ask relevant questions to assess the customer's interest and address information gaps.
- Configure a product and services solution with associated contractual terms that meet the prospect’s needs, in collaboration with internal specialists.
- Present the solution and negotiate agreements within a pre‑defined commercial range.
- Collaborate internally and champion prospects in cross‑functional teams to build external relationships.
- Develop a personal network within the business sector and represent the organization at sector events.
- Obtain market intelligence and enhance the organization’s visibility and reputation.
- Maintain current knowledge of company policies, procedures, and regulatory codes and ensure compliance with required standards.
- Participate in assessment, development planning, training, coaching, and pursue relevant professional accreditation.
- Stay updated on technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; we do not sponsor visas.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time to customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or operations management.
- 5+ years of experience working with IoT, IIoT, software, and annual recurring revenue/subscription models.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things technology.
- Experience selling to senior management and executive levels, demonstrating tangible economic value.
- Experience engaging with all levels of a manufacturing enterprise – CxO, operations, technical, plant leadership, and OEM machine builders.
- Experience selling and working with datacenter clients.
