Security Officer - Nauvoo, IL

Provide professional, reliable physical security coverage and response for Church properties in Nauvoo, ensuring the safety of employees, missionaries, visitors, and guests. This role helps maintain a safe and peaceful environment where individuals can learn, serve, worship, and participate in the activities and experiences offered at the historic sites. The position responds to disruptive or threatening situations to preserve a calm atmosphere and provides emergency first‑aid support when needed.

This position works night shifts and will be responsible for being On‑Call.

• Perform duties as an Unarmed Officer, maintaining a visible security presence while protecting people, property, and assets in accordance with CSD policies and procedures
• Will focus on successfully completing the CSD Basic Training program
• Must display tact, judgment, and maturity
• Begins to learn the work culture and environment
• Understand facts, practices, policies, etc within CSD
• Follow a set of job activities and processes
• Operates within moderate to high personal risk in threatening and hostile conditions; able to accept legal and reputational risk

• Minimum of High School Diploma required and 2-4 years general work experience
• Must have and maintain a Valid Driver’s License
• Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑Day Saints and currently temple worthy.
