Assistant Facility Security Manager

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Executive Facility Security Manager, this positionassumes leadership of the sitesecurity team upon absence of the Executive Facility Security Manager.
• Assist with the development and implementation of extensive security plans, policies,and procedures to protect personnel,assetsand information.
• Assist with leading,training and supervision ofa team of security personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits toidentifyvulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to develop andmaintainemergency response plans and procedures.
• Manage access control systems, surveillanceequipmentand other security technologies to ensure proper functioning and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with internal departments, such as human resources and IT, to ensure compliance with security protocols and standards.
• Investigate security breaches, incidents and violations, documentfindingsand implement corrective actions.
• Maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies and security vendors, to enhance security capabilities.
• Educate employees on security awareness, policies and procedures through training programs and communication initiatives.
• Stay informed about the latest security technologies,trendsand regulatory requirements and make recommendations for enhancements to the security program.

• High school diploma/bachelor's degree
• Law enforcement experience
• 5+ years of experience in security management, lawenforcementor the armed forces, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices.
• Working knowledge of any required computer programs and security technology
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to monitorsurveillance systems and respond to emergency situations.
• Excellent team building and leadership skills.
• Active PERC card required
