Part‑Time Security Guard I

ICMS is seeking a friendly and professional security guard to oversee a federal facility and provide high‑quality service, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will have a confident personality and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

• Greet visitors when they enter the building and guide them to their designated areas
• Process queries and manage customer expectations in a polite and friendly manner
• Verify access badges
• Monitor building conditions; notify appropriate facilities/custodial personnel of issues
• Conduct evening tours to verify security of access/egress; monitor parking areas and security cameras for anomalies or security issues
• Keep track of visitors and coordinate with onsite staff for escorting
• Answer telephones and monitor the security office
• Maintain control of all keys, including logging the keys in and out
• Provide detailed log report at the end of each shift; must be completed as instructed with all details
• Maintain a clean and pleasant environment
• May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.

• Seven 45‑minute foot patrols/tours during an 8‑hour shift
• Estimated total walking distance 6–8 miles
• Must use stair wells – climbing
• Ability to use a 6‑ft ladder – climbing
• Ability to use a snow shovel – balance, upper‑body twisting
• Must be physically capable of providing CPR

• US Citizenship and ability to pass an extensive background check
• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1+ year’s client‑facing experience
• Basic computer literacy skills
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of local attractions and establishments
• Polite, friendly, and self‑assured attitude
• Skills in multitasking and good time‑management
• Track record of dependability and punctuality

Shift: varies as needed

Pay Rate: $18.69 + Health & Welfare Benefits
