Description

  • Construction Scopes:
    Experience and/or willingness to work on an array of different projects such as new site builds, site modifications, small cell installation, AAV installations, DAS installations, site maintenance.
  • Civil Installation:
    Perform scope of work as indicated on site plans and as directed by construction manager including but not limited to installing conduit, vaults, racks, connectors, pull string; performing health checks, trenching, site decommissioning; testing COAX/FIBER.
  • Machinery Operation:
    Safely operate heavy machinery for compaction, welding, etc. Training Provided.
  • Communication:
    Send daily reports to the construction manager to provide progress updates, highlight roadblocks, and ensure project timelines stay on track.
  • Deployment Preparation:
    Arrange materials for projects, prep trucks and trailer with necessary items to complete scheduled build.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Complete the photo checklist for customer-specific close out package requirements as needed. Job sites must be clear of debris/trash and left in pristine condition for customer review and approval.
Description

Purpose of the Position: The Field Technician is responsible for supporting his/her crew during wireless cell site construction. This role takes direction from the Construction Manager and will have the ability to build a site based on a set of plans, Methods of Procedures (MOPS) and Bills of Materials (BOMs) provided. The candidate must be willing to operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment and machinery daily in all outdoor weather environments.

All duties must be performed in accordance with OSHA and other work safety standards along with keeping high quality, accountability, and budget timelines in mind.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

Required:

Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Minimum of 1 - 3 years of cell site construction within the telecommunications field is required.

Travel

  • Willingness to travel frequently, home on weekends.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
Machinery: Ability and/or willingness to operate a forklift, skid steer, bucket truck, etc.

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements: Microsoft Office Suite & Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
