What you will do
A Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert. You will alleviate concerns the customer may have regarding a security system, advise customers and the customer care center of the status of systems and processes inspections, repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, card access systems and other security equipment, and provide the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.
Preferred candidate location:
Champaign or Springfield, Illinois area
Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring; readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation; prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs; coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments or other agencies; provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility is running efficiently, including upselling opportunities; provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
What we look for Required- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line.
- Experience with card access, CCTV/IP cameras.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Electrical/Electronic background.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Fire alarm experience preferred.
- Some college preferred.
- NICET II or greater preferred.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26.06 - 35.82. The hourly rate is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
