Job DescriptionPerforms warehouse-based inspection, movement, cleaning, repair, preparation, installation, and decommissioning of gaming, amusement, ATM equipment, and other company assets in accordance with Accel Entertainment and Illinois Gaming Board specifications and installations at customer sites. This is a three-level progression based on technical proficiency, level of experience, independence, quality, and contribution to team capability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Warehouse Technician I- Performs a broad range of warehouse and equipment-support functions based on operational needs, including receiving, cleaning, staging, moving, loading, unloading, installing, and preparing video gaming terminals, ticket redemption machines, ATMs, amusement equipment, parts, and other company assets
- Performs basic equipment inspections, cleaning, parts removal, installation, and equipment disassembly/reassembly using established procedures and work instructions.
- Removes, replaces, and installs common equipment components and peripherals, including locks and related components, in accordance with approved controls and procedures.
- Safely operates and uses material-handling and labor-saving equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, hand trucks, and similar equipment.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary to perform assigned warehouse and equipment-related duties.
- Be cross-trained and assigned to different warehouse and equipment-support functions based on operational needs.
- Assist with equipment installations, removals, exchanges, and other field-related activities as needed.
- Completes assigned work accurately, maintains warehouse and work-area organization, and reports damaged equipment, safety concerns, inventory needs, and other identified issues.
- Follows all department, company, safety, and gaming-regulatory procedures and provides professional internal and external customer service.
- Performs all Warehouse Technician I duties with greater independence and demonstrates increased technical proficiency with gaming, amusement, ATM, and associated equipment.
- Inspects, tests, cleans, diagnoses, repairs, prepares, and decommissions equipment using established procedures and appropriate diagnostic tools.
- Identifies and resolves common electronic, mechanical, peripheral, and configuration issues; completes routine repairs and appropriately escalates problems requiring advanced technical support.
- Removes, replaces, and installs common equipment components and peripherals, including locks and related components, in accordance with approved controls and procedures.
- Has working knowledge of VGT and amusement equipment and performs troubleshooting to determine appropriate repair, component replacement, or escalation.
- Assists with equipment readiness and quality checks prior to deployment.
- Safely operates and uses appropriate material-handling and labor-saving equipment when moving, preparing, repairing, or staging equipment.
- Lead field installations, removals, and exchanges, including equipment movement, setup, component installation, and technical support.
- Coordinates parts and inventory needs and assists with maintaining efficient equipment flow through the warehouse.
- Troubleshoots and resolves routine equipment and installation issues encountered at customer locations and appropriately escalates issues requiring additional technical or operational support.
- Documents completed work and identified equipment issues accurately and communicates technical information clearly.
- Assists with training and development of Warehouse Technician I employees and models safe work practices and procedural compliance.
- Performs all Warehouse Technician I and II duties with a high degree of independence and demonstrates the technical and operational proficiency necessary to support both warehouse and field activities.
