Bring your skills to the road and keep our customers moving! As a Mobile Service Technician with Nextran Truck Centers, you’ll take your expertise directly to the customer, providing hands‑on service and repairs where they are needed most. You’ll diagnose problems, perform preventative maintenance, complete repairs, and get medium‑and‑heavy‑duty trucks back on the road safely and efficiently.

Hourly Pay: $26–$40/hr., compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, certifications, education, and demonstrated skills.

Hours of Work: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY – DAY SHIFT

Mobile Technician must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays as required to support business and operational needs.

CDL & DOT MEDICAL CARD

REQUIRED:

This position requires a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), as appropriate for the mobile service vehicle, and a current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Medical Card). Candidates must also meet Nextran Corporation’s driver qualification and insurability requirements.

Candidates must successfully complete a pre‑employment drug screening, background investigation, physical abilities assessment, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.

• Take your expertise on the road by traveling to customer locations and getting medium- and heavy-duty trucks back to work.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems using your technical knowledge and hands‑on skills to identify the root cause and make the right repair.
• Keep trucks performing at their best by completing preventative maintenance, inspections, and recommended service.
• Tackle repairs from start to finish , including disassembly, repair, and reassembly of major truck components.
• Work closely with our Parts Department to quickly identify and obtain the parts needed to keep repairs moving.
• Build customer confidence through professional, knowledgeable, and courteous interactions at every service call.
• Keep the team informed by communicating repair updates, additional service needs, and potential delays with the Service Advisor/Dispatcher.
• Document your work with pride by providing accurate, detailed repair notes and recommendations.
• Look beyond the immediate repair by identifying safety concerns, additional service needs, and opportunities to help customers avoid future downtime.
• Support quality warranty repairs by properly saving and tagging parts when required.
• Help develop the next generation of technicians by providing guidance and direction to Apprentice Technicians when assigned.
• Take ownership of your tools and equipment by keeping company‑owned tools, equipment, and technical manuals secure, organized, and in good condition.
• Work safely and responsibly by following all safety procedures and immediately reporting equipment or safety concerns.
