Job Description Summary
Experienced Software Development Engineer:
Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and fixes/patches. This role is fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level, concentrating on the mainframe platform with development in Assembler language and Metal
C.
- Develop high‑quality software design and architecture.
- Produce, test, and debug software solutions.
- Provide peer leadership in an Agile team environment.
- Interact technically with product management and customers.
- Coordinate with management and internal teams.
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
- Perform validation and verification testing.
- Ensure software is up‑to‑date with latest technologies.
- Proven mainframe knowledge and skills.
- Proficiency in IBM Assembler language and Metal
C programming languages. - Strong understanding of security protocols and security ESMs on z/OS.
- Familiarity with z/OS operating system.
- Experience with source control systems (Endevor).
- Experience with interactive debugging tools (XDC) and dump reading.
- Analytical mind with problem‑solving aptitude.
- Database design and SQL skills.
- Experience developing or utilizing test automation.
- Familiarity with Java programming language is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science with 5+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of related experience.
The annual base salary range for this position is $91,000 – $146,000. The position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus pursuant to the relevant plan documents and equity awards under the equity plan.
