We have an exciting Summer Internship opportunity for an Ocean Freight Specialist. You will be part of our Ocean Freight team and assist with the coordination between customer’s shipment, customs brokers, and shipping carriers. Accuracy and timely movement of freight information is a key component for this position. This position will be based at our Peoria, IL location.

• Assist the team with coordination between all applicable parties for all ocean shipments for our customers
• Prepare documentation, including entry into our DHL system, in accordance with country requirements as well as the preparation of Certificate of Origin, Cargo Manifest, NAFTA Certificate, Airway Bill and any other documents required by the customer
• Participate in customer service activities and shipment processing, tracking and routing
• Communicate regularly with customer regarding cargo status and continuously communicate with overseas parties to meet delivery commitments; follow-up with carrier to monitor and track departure and arrival information and updates
• Ensure invoicing of rendered services is completed accurately and in a timeframe consistent with company policy
• Maintain accurate and updated customer profiles
• Perform other tasks as required

Pay Range: $19.39 - $25.85/hr (Based on Experience)
