Phlebotomist​/Driver DOT Driving Duties

Job Summary

Collection Specialist Driver positions are part of the Donor Services Phlebotomy team, responsible for donor registrations, screenings, physicals, and phlebotomy, and for providing donor care during donation processes. In addition to medical duties, the driver transports large blood center vehicles, coordinates set‑up and tear‑down of collection operations, and restocks supplies.

This is a full‑time (30–39 hours per week) position requiring varied hours, including days, evenings, and weekends.

• Conduct donor registrations, screenings, physicals, and phlebotomy, and provide donor care during donation process
• Drive large blood center vehicles to transport supplies and team members
• Set up and tear down collection operations
• Restock supplies and maintain vehicle readiness

• Customer service experience
• Enjoy working with the public
• Good, stable work history
• Understand the importance of following standard operating procedures
• Ability to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, and weekends
• Ability to train away from home for up to two weeks at a time
• Comfortable driving larger vehicles (e.g., box‑trucks, truck‑and‑trailer combos)
• Comfortable driving in various weather conditions
• Possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence and be insurable
• Hold or be able to obtain a DOT Medical Certification Physical card
• Pre‑employment background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report required
