Truck Driver - CDL Class B

Richards Building Supply Co. is currently searching for a CDL Class B Driver for our Peoria, IL location. The position requires either a CDL Class A or CDL Class B license with Air Brake endorsement. Flatbed and Moffett experience are required. Opportunities for overtime on Saturdays are available as needed. Delivery drivers are responsible for safely delivering products to job sites, physically unloading material per the customer’s request, receiving materials in the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory.

1 year CDL Class B delivery driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience is required.

• Safely deliver products to job sites.
• Physically unload material per customer request.
• Receive materials in the warehouse, load trucks, and process inventory.
• Opportunity for overtime on Saturdays as needed.

• Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day; some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.
• Deliveries will include unloading shingles on one- and two-story homes.
• Load trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries, ensuring compliance with weight limits per DOT regulations.
• Unload trucks and receive merchandise at the warehouse.
• Move materials and items from receiving to their designated area.

• CDL Class B with Air Brake endorsement or CDL Class A driver’s license.
• 1 year CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience.
• Crane, air brakes, and Moffett operating experience desired.
• Flatbed and Moffett experience required.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Clean driving record.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Heavy lifting experience.
• Must pass background check and pre‑employment DOT drug screen.

Salary: $28 – $28 an hour (union rate).
