The Warehouse Team Lead oversees a wide variety of warehouse activities. Organizes warehouse and schedules production work to ensure revenue goals are attained. Maintains a safe and productive work environment while processing donated goods, salvage materials, store inventory and trash.

• As directed by the Warehouse Manager assigns tasks to achieve required daily warehouse productivity.
• Measures and reports the effectiveness of the department activities.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules and workflow.
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Develops and maintains departmental work instructions for all tasks.
• Monitors loading/unloading of trucks.
• Manages trash flow daily.
• Prepares reports and employee documentation when required.
• Manages equipment flow.
• Provides good customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of 2 years prior supervisory experience, preferably in waste, warehouse, and logistics.
• Driver experience preferred.

• Experience with material handling equipment required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to make calculations such as discounts, freight estimates, dimensional weight, invoices, and percentages.
• Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Material Handlers (Approx. 15)

• Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50lbs), carrying (up to 50lbs).
• Kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, turning, repetitive motions.
• More than 2/3 of the day may require standing, using fingers, hands or feet.

• Housekeeping and/or cleaning agents.
• Proximity to moving mechanical parts.
• Environmental hazards including refuse and recyclables.

• Respectful customer relationships.
• Reading, math skills.
• Drive motor vehicle (Commercial Units).
• Typing/keyboard, word processing software.
• Basic payroll/accounting skills.
• Operate office machinery (fax, copier, etc.).
• Verbal and written communication, reasoning and logic.
• Maintain records, team-oriented collaborative interpersonal relationships.
• Organize and prioritize information.
• Sensitivity to service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
