Middle Grades

Nissitissit Middle School, located on a 22-acre campus in Pepperell, serves students in grades 5 through 8. The school is designed to support the developmental needs of middle school students and foster a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment. The facility includes a 504-seat auditorium with a full stage for high-quality performances and productions, dedicated arts and innovation spaces (band room, music classroom, art room with kiln, drama room, and STEM lab), a large gymnasium, health classroom, and a wellness/fitness center.

An outdoor learning area provides flexible space for hands-on instruction and classroom extensions when weather permits. The school emphasizes a collaborative middle school model with teams and regular common planning time for instructional design, progress monitoring, and family communication. The curriculum aligns with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, offering rigorous courses and opportunities in mathematics, science, ELA, social studies, world languages, and unified arts.
