Job Description

Assistant Manager role at Domino's Pizza.

You are responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control and customer relations.

Additional duties: staff management, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, scheduling, maintaining appearance, customer service, attendance, transportation, store cleanliness, marketing, profitability.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination for rapid, accurate movements.
• Typing or touch-screen order entry.
• Navigation skills to read a map and locate addresses within the delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, multi-story buildings, private homes while carrying product.

• Variable and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
• In-store temperatures ranging from 36°F to 90°F+.
• Sudden temperature changes on- and off-site.
• Fumes from food odors, exposure to cornmeal dust.
• Operating in cramped quarters, hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F, sharp edges, mechanical parts.
• Handling deliveries while driving and performing couponing.

• Standing: most tasks performed standing, surfaces 36‑48 inches.
• Walking: short distances; delivery personnel travel between store, vehicle, and customer.
• Sitting: paperwork completed at desk.
• Lifting: bulk product deliveries up to 50 lbs, cases loaded onto shelves up to 72 inches.
• Carrying: large cans (3 lbs 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), trays of dough (12 lbs each), deliver pizzas and beverages.
• Pushing: moving trays on dollies requires up to 7.5 lbs force.
• Climbing: navigate stairs or ladders; may involve five or more flights of stairs during delivery.
• Stooping/Bending: required at assembly station, not flexible at waist, repeated 30‑45 seconds.
• Crouching/Squatting: occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
• Reaching: above 72 inches; downwards for tasks like scooping cornmeal or washing dishes; forward when obtaining toppings, cleaning surfaces, answering phones.
• Driving: deliver pizzas within designated area, may make several deliveries per shift.
• Hand Tasks: eye‑hand coordination essential; use of hands continuous; frequent use of forearms/wrists to shape dough; manipulate pizza peel and cutter; pinching in cardboard assembly; grasp cans, phone, cutter, peel, boxes.
• Machines, Tools, Equipment: pencils, pens, computers, phones, calculators, pizza cutter and peel.
• Driving Specific Duties: deliver product, flyers, door hangers.
• Requirements: valid driver's license with safe driving record; access to insured vehicle.
