Bookkeeper

Description Our client, a well-established manufacturing organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support daily accounting operations. This position will be heavily focused on Accounts Payable, including high-volume invoice processing, account reconciliations, and payroll backup support. The ideal candidate will be organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Process high-volume accounts payable, including invoice entry, matching, and approvals

Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments

Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries

Maintain accurate AP records and documentation

Perform vendor statement reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations

Assist with month-end accounting activities as needed

Enter and maintain employee information within payroll systems

Provide backup support for payroll processing

Process and review labor ticket entries

Collaborate with accounting, HR, and operations teams on various projects and reporting needs

Qualifications

2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or accounts payable experience

Strong accounts payable experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment

Experience supporting payroll functions

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Manufacturing industry experience

Experience working with ERP systems Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or accounts payable.

- Demonstrated background handling accounts payable functions in a high-volume setting.

- Familiarity with payroll support activities and employee data maintenance.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using accounting software such as Quick Books.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize and maintain accurate financial records.

- Effective communication and problem-solving skills for working with vendors and internal teams.

- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

- Knowledge of accounts receivable and bank reconciliations is a plus.
