Bucks County Community College is seeking a Part‑Time Faculty Veterinarian to join our growing Veterinary Technician program. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of veterinary medicine by educating and mentoring the next generation of vet tech professionals.
About the Role- Plan, prepare, and deliver quality classroom instruction in lecture, clinical, and/or laboratory format based on the approved course outline, selecting and utilizing a variety of approved course materials and teaching methods that address all learning modalities to ensure the needs of individual students are met.
- Assess student learning using appropriate methods.
- Conduct engaging classroom lectures and/or labs based on the course outline.
- Motivate students by demonstrating sensitivity to concerns and actively involving them in classroom discussions and/or activities.
- Plan for equipment and supplies, or other activities as needed.
- Complete all course assessments as required.
- Use technology to enhance teaching and learning in the classroom.
- Form and review the IACUC committee and procedures.
- Oversee the health and safety of animals used in the classroom.
- Oversee USDA inspections.
- Maintain DEA licensure for the program.
- Schedule students for clinical assignments.
- Perform clinical site visits.
- Serve as OSHA safety officer.
- Licensed veterinarian in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Two years of experience in an educational institution (teaching or program oversight).

Final candidates will be required to successfully complete a Pennsylvania background check as part of the hiring process.
