Terms Of Employment: 10 month full-time, salary in accordance with PEA Collective Bargaining Agreement

Description:

Write, implement and monitor progress of IEP's, including behavior goals, for students with learning and/or emotional disabilities.

Principal Function:
The Secondary Autistic Support Teacher provides specialized instruction and is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including behavior goals, for students with autism. The teacher collaborates with families, staff, and related service providers to support students' academic, social, behavioral, and functional growth in a structured learning environment.

Qualifications:

Must possess Valid PA Special Education Certification.

Pre-Employment Paperwork Requirements:
Clearances must be within 12 months and TB must be within 90 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:

Light Work

Sedentary: involves sitting most of the time. The incumbent should be able to exert up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects.

Light Work:
The incumbent should be able to exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
