REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Special Education and Building Principal
AVAILABLE: 9/11/2026 to 1/4/2028
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 month full-time, salary in accordance with PEA Collective Bargaining Agreement
DESCRIPTION: Write, implement and monitor progress of IEP’s, including behavior goals, for students with learning and/or emotional disabilities.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTION: The Secondary Autistic Support Teacher provides specialized instruction and is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including behavior goals, for students with autism. The teacher collaborates with families, staff, and related service providers to support students' academic, social, behavioral, and functional growth in a structured learning environment.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess Valid PA Special Education Certification.

MEDIUM WORK: The incumbent should be able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
HEAVY WORK: The incumbent should be able to exert up to 75 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
VERY HEAVY WORK: The incumbent should be able to exert in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and in excess of 50 lbs of force frequently, and in excess of 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
