TITLE: Percussion Instructor

REPORTS TO: Band Director and Head Principal

AVAILABLE: ASAP

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary in accordance with EDR contract

LOCATION: High School

DESCRIPTION:The percussion instructor will assists the Band Director in practices, games, and performances with the marching band percussion sections.

PRINCIPLE FUNCTION:

• Assist the Band Director with planning and leading practices and competitions.
• Support the development of student-band members,’ skills and teamwork.
• Assist with supervision and safety of all team members during activities.
• Help manage equipment and maintain band standards of conduct.
• Model positive behavior and represent the school in a professional manner.
• Follow all school, district, league, and state athletic association rules

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in percussion instruments preferred
• Strong communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Band Director

PRE-EMPLOYMENT PAPERWORK REQUIREMENTS Clearances and Physical must be within 12 months and TB must be within 90 days of hire.

• PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
• Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
• School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test)
• PDE 6004 Form (Act 24)
• Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form(s) (Act 168)
