CNCProgrammer - Lathe Machines - 1st Shift
$26-$30/hr | Weekly Pay

1st Shift | Monday through Friday | 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM | Direct Hire
If you are a machinist who programs your own machines and takes full ownership from print to part, this one was written for you. A well-established Pennsylvania manufacturer is looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist who can set up, program, and run close-tolerance parts with minimal supervision. The schedule is consistent, the pay is competitive, and there is no mandatory overtime.
WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Write and edit CNC programs using G and M code for lathe and turning center operations
- Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, and turning centers independently
- Produce centrifugal pump components to close tolerances across a wide variety of setups
- Read and interpret engineering prints including GD&T
- Select tooling, set offsets, and adjust feeds and speeds based on material and part requirements
- Inspect finished components using micrometers, calipers, and precision gauges
- Perform preventative maintenance and maintain quality and safety records
- Provide guidance to less experienced machinists on the floor when needed
- 3 to 5 years of machining experience with hands‑on CNC programming ability
- Proficient in G and M code, comfortable writing and editing programs from scratch
- Ability to perform difficult setups and run machines independently from print to part
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T and engineering print interpretation
- Skilled with precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers
- High school diploma or equivalent required, trade or technical certification a plus
- $26 to $30/hr based on experience
