The Inventory Specialistisresponsiblefortheday -to-dayaccuracyandorganizationofallmaterialsmovingthrough

Cider Press Woodworks —lumber,sheetgoods,hardware,finishes,adhesives,and consumables—acrossbothcustommillworkandfurnitureproduction.

Workingunderthedirectionofthe Production Manager ,thisrolekeepsinventoryrecordsaccurateinourERPplatform(Innergy),keepsstorageareasorganized,andensuresmaterialsarereceived,transacted,andstagedsoproductionisneverwaitingonmaterial.

Thisisahands-onrolewellsuitedtosomeonewithstrongorganizationaldisciplinewhowantstogrowwithacompanyformalizingitsinventorysystems;priormanagementexperienceisnotrequired.

Inventory Control&Accuracy

• Maintainaccurateperpetualinventoryrecordsforallrawmaterials,hardware,finishes,andconsumablesintheERPsystem.
• Performregularcyclecounts;investigateandresolvevariances,andreportcountresultstothe
  
  Production
  
  Manager.
• Monitorstocklevelsagainstestablishedmin/maxlevelsandreorderpoints;flaglowstockbeforeitcausesproductionstoppages.
• Maintainphysicalorganizationofinventorystorageareaslumberracks,sheetgoodsstorage,hardwareroomincludinglabeling,locationassignments,andFIFOrotationwhereapplicable.
• Trackmaterialwaste,shrinkage,andobsolescence;flagslow-movinganddeadstocktoleadershipfordisposition.

ERP&Data Management

• Maintaininventorydatawithin Innergy(orsuccessorERP):itemmasterrecords,unitsofmeasure,costs,vendors,andmaterialcategories.
• SupportERPimplementationandongoingoptimizationbykeepingmaterialdatacleanandconsistentandfollowingdocumentedinventoryworkflows.
• Transactmaterialissues,receipts,andadjustmentsintheERPinrealtimesojobcostingreflectsactualconsumption.
• Support Accountingwithmonth-endreconciliationandphysicalinventorycounts.

Receiving&Material Flow

• Performreceiving:verifyquantitiesandqualityagainstpurchaseorders,resolvediscrepancieswithvendors,andprocessreceiptspromptlyintheERP.
• Stageandkitmaterialsforproductionjobssomaterialsarriveatworkstationscompleteandonschedule.
• Communicate with Project Management and Productionschedulingonupcomingmaterialneedsforthejobpipeline .

Purchasing Coordination

• Assistpurchasingwithreplenishmentordersbyreportingstocklevels,lead-timeissues,andvendordiscrepancies.
• KeepvendorandpricingdatacurrentintheERP;flagcostincreasestoleadership.

Continuous Improvement&Safety

• FollowandhelpimproveinventorySOPs;modelgoodmaterialtransactiondisciplineforshoppersonnel.
• Maintain safe,clean,organizedstorageareasincompliancewithcompanysafetypoliciesandOSHArequirements,includingsafehandlingandstorageoffinishesandflammables.

Required

• 1–2yearsofinventory,warehouse,materialshandling,orstockroomexperience,preferablyinamanufacturingenvironment.
  
  Nopriormanagementexperiencerequired.
• Hands‑onexperienceworkinginanERP,MRP,orinventorymanagementsystemfortransactionsanditemdata(e.g.,Innergy,Epicor,Net Suite,JobBOSS,Global Shop,orsimilar).
• Experienceperformingcyclecountsorphysicalinventoriesandresolvingdiscrepancies.
• Working Excel skills;comfortablewithbasicdataentry,cleanup,and reporting.
• Excellentorganizationaldisciplineandattentiontodetail;abletofollowprocessconsistentlyandsuggestimprovements.
• Abilitytocommunicateeffectivelywithshopfloor,project management,andaccountingteams.

Preferred

• Experience with
  
  InnergyERPspecifically,oranothermillwork/woodworkingindustryERP.
• Backgroundincustommillwork,cabinetry,furnituremanufacturing,oranotherjob-shop/engineer-to-orderenvironment.
• Familiaritywithlumber,sheetgoods,veneers,hardware,andfinishingmaterials,includingunitsofmeasurecommontothetrade(boardfeet,square feet,sheets).
• Forklift certification(orabilitytoobtain).

• Activewoodworkingmanufacturingenvironmentwithexposuretodust,noise,andmovingequipment;
  
  PPErequiredindesignatedareas.
• Regularlyrequiredtowalktheshopfloor,climb ladders,andliftupto
  50lbs;occasionalliftingofheaviermaterialswithassistanceorequipment.
• Splitbetweenoffice/computerworkandhands-ontimeinstorageandproductionareas.
