Minimum Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED, supplemented by training or course work in child growth and development, special education, instructional technology, or closely related field.
• One year of experience working with students of various age levels requiring a specialized learning environment. Experience in working with orthopedically handicapped students is desirable.
• CPR/First Aid Certification approved by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Possess a valid and appropriate California driver's license and qualify for insurability with the District's insurance carrier.
• Pass the NCLB - VVUSD District Exam.
• Complete LEA section if applicable - If you have ever worked for any other school district including VVUSD, you must list all previous/current school districts under the LEA section, this is different than the Record of Work Experience section

• Copy of High School diploma or GED - If in another language, document must be translated. We can also accept HS transcripts that show proof of graduation.
• Copy of CPR and First Aid Certification approved by the American Heart Association or Red Cross. (Online course certificates are not accepted).
• Copy of valid driver's license
• Unofficial transcripts reflecting course work in child growth and development, special education, instructional technology or closely related field
• Copy of Resume - desired
• If you have taken the NCLB - VVUSD exam for Instructional Aide within the last 3 years, attach a copy of your letter indicating passing score of 75% or higher. (Test scores are good for 3 years from the original testing date.) If you are a current District employee who has passed the NCLB exam, please attach a copy of your letter indicating passing score of 75% or higher and/or NCLB Certificate.
