Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Director of Special Education and Student Services, or designated supervisor, develops, coordinates and assists in supervising programs for special education students; assists in the development and implementation of district policies and budgets related to the district program responsibilities; provides leadership in articulating and coordinating programs across district levels; assists site level administrators and/or the Director of Special Education and Student Services in evaluating certificated and classified personnel within specified program areas.
Responsibilities- Develop, coordinate, and supervise special education programs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of district policies and budgets related to special education program responsibilities.
- Provide leadership in articulating and coordinating programs across district levels.
- Assist site level administrators and the Director of Special Education and Student Services in evaluating certificated and classified personnel within specified program areas.
- Valid Education Specialist Credential or Pupil Personnel Services Credential and a California Administrative Services Credential.
- At least three (3) years of public school experience as a school psychologist and/or as a special education teacher/specialist (preferred).
- Master's Degree in an educational related field.
