GENERAL PURPOSEThis position is responsible for identifying and leading efforts that are focused on process improvements and retail distribution advancements within Ross. The Process Improvement Engineering Manager I will identify and lead improvement efforts through all stages of the basic Lean Sigma process (DMAIC, Lean, PDCA, etc.) to simplify all DC processes and reduce related costs within the Supply Chain value stream.
This position also leads the operational readiness activities associated with new building start‑ups and reconfigurations of existing buildings. Additional responsibilities include partnering with Network Strategy, DC Operations, and Training to provide cross‑functional project support. As process change ideas are implemented, the Process Improvements Engineering Manager I will also be responsible for creating/maintaining process documentation and control with DC Operations and Training.
The base salary range for this role is $93,600 - $140,400. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Responsible for identifying and leading improvement efforts from initial concept through full implementation across various areas of the organization

- Responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and accountability for those people that are attached to the project
- Responsible for developing and conducting training as needed for the further advancement of continuous improvement within the organization (Change Management, DMAIC, Lean Sigma, etc.)
- Responsible for preparation and maintenance of engineering documentation related to new processes implemented (Best Methods, Procedures, VMGs, Control Plans, etc.)

- B.S. degree in STEM with Industrial/Systems Engineering preferred equivalent field or proven experience in engineering field
- 4 – 8+ years related engineering experience; retail distribution operations preferred
- Minimum of Green Belt certification in Six Sigma, Black Belt preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of Green Belt certification in Lean, Black Belt preferred (or equivalent experience)
