    • $50.94 - $63.44 Hourly
    • $8,829.60 - $10,996.27 Monthly
  • Information Systems Engineer II
    - Range 222
    • $58.98 - $73.45 Hourly
    • $10,233.20 - $12,731.33 Monthly
GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision (Information Systems Engineer I) or direction (Information Systems Engineer II), the Information Systems Engineer for Eastern Municipal Water District provides professional support to EMWD technology programs in diverse capacities ranging from responses to complex user-support problems to technology system development, implementation, and administration; monitors systems to ensure performance and reliability standards are met; collaborates with team members to integrate systems across multiple operating platforms and technologies;

performs specialized duties in support of an assigned technology program area; and performs related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this position will have strong communication, technical, and cyber program management skills, as well as significant server, desktop management, and administration experience. Network, firewall, and Cisco UC administration experience is a plus.

The following job duties are applicable to this recruitment:

  • Documenting and tracking firmware, operating system, software versions and patch level details for all District technology assets.
  • Assisting the Cybersecurity Engineer in performing significant research and reviewing forums, news sites, information sharing organizations to learn of threats as early as possible.
  • Together with the Cybersecurity Engineer, helping to assess the impact and criticality of published vulnerabilities to determine if action is necessary.
  • Together with the Cybersecurity Engineer, proactively scanning District network environments to update asset inventory and identify rogue devices.
  • Developing and following a standardized process for regular patch evaluation, testing, deployment planning, communication, and execution, generally in coordination with other staff and/or vendors.
