This role focuses on performing carpentry repairs, general maintenance, and cleaning duties in a fast-paced shop and yard environment. You will work both independently and as part of a service team to refurbish trailers, maintain facilities, and support basic electrical, plumbing, and minor HVAC tasks while prioritizing safety at all times.

• Work safely at all times and actively participate in maintaining a strong safety culture, including attending regular safety meetings.
• Perform carpentry repairs on floors, walls, roofing, siding, windows, fixtures, and related structures as needed.
• Inspect basic electrical systems and wiring and assist with minor electrical tasks as required.
• Assist and train with the service team on refurbishment activities, including trailer servicing and repairs.
• Clean trailers thoroughly, including buffing floors, wiping down walls, counters, fixtures, and doors.
• Clean and maintain all windows, walls, ceilings, fixtures, and doors in the shop and trailers.
• Keep the shop and work areas clean and organized, including inside the building, the yard, lawn, and parking lot.
• Perform regular inventory checks, monitor supply levels, and place orders as needed to support operations.
• Operate and maintain a floor buffer and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to perform carpentry, repair, and maintenance tasks.
• Support basic plumbing, minor HVAC, and welding tasks when needed, depending on skill level.
• Work independently with a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Handle physical aspects of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in varying weather conditions.

• Demonstrated carpentry knowledge and hands-on experience with carpentry repairs.
• Ability to work safely and maintain a strong safety-first mindset.
• Proficiency using a variety of hand and power tools, including basic carpentry tools.
• Ability to operate a floor buffer safely and effectively.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Some knowledge of computers for basic tasks such as inventory checks and documentation.
• Ownership of basic hand tools, including hammer, screwdrivers, wrench set, and tape measure.
• Background in framing, carpentry, plumbing, repair, minor electrical work, and minor HVAC.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail in maintaining shop, trailers, and work areas.

• OSHA 10-hour safety training or similar safety training experience is preferred.
• Experience with plumbing, including basic installation, service, and repairs.
• Experience with minor electrical work, including basic wiring inspections.
• Exposure to minor HVAC tasks and general mechanical repairs.
• Basic welding skills are a plus.
• Experience working with siding, roofing, windows, and exterior structures.
• Comfort working with labor-intensive tasks such as washing, cleaning, and general maintenance.
• Flexibility to adjust work hours, including early morning start times depending on seasonal needs.

You will join a hands-on, safety-focused environment where your practical skills and initiative are valued. The role offers consistent daytime hours with some seasonal flexibility, allowing you to build experience across carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, and minor HVAC work. You will work with supportive teammates, receive necessary safety gear, and gain exposure to a wide range of maintenance and refurbishment tasks, helping you grow your trade skills and broaden your expertise.

You will work both indoors in a shop and outdoors in a yard, as well as inside trailers. Conditions will vary with the weather, and some trailers may not have air conditioning, so you should be comfortable working in hot and cold environments. Standard hours are approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with two 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch, and during summer months the schedule may shift to around 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., so some flexibility with hours is required.

You will regularly use hand and power tools, floor buffers, and basic computer tools to support your work. The dress code includes steel-toe boots, work pants, and a t-shirt. The company provides safety glasses, gloves, and a safety vest (orange for the first 30 days), supporting a professional, safety-oriented work setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Perris, CA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
