Position Summary

This position involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment such as lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, electronic and electrical equipment. The role includes operating material handling equipment, cleaning and maintaining grounds, parking lots, and facilities, and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and electronic schematics. The candidate will also troubleshoot complex equipment problems, maintain industrial batteries, assist other maintenance technicians, and uphold Walmart's core principles of respect, integrity, customer focus, and excellence.

The hourly wage range for this position is $35.65 to $39.15, with potential additional premiums.

• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and associates verbally or in writing.
• Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer‑based documents according to established procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment such as lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling, hydraulic, dock, banana room, electronic, and electrical equipment.
• Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
• Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building facilities such as bathrooms and plumbing.
• Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and electronic/mechanical schematics to repair and maintain equipment.
• Change industrial batteries for all types of power equipment, including removal and replacement of battery retention plates.
• Inspect, clean, and repair industrial equipment batteries according to procedures.
• Assist other maintenance technicians in repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment problems when repairs are not immediately visible.

• 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance working with electrical, electronics, and mechanical equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, building equipment, automated equipment).
• Experience with blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.

• Coursework or certification in welding, electrical, mechanical automation, or industrial electronics.
