Scheduler

Transdev in Perris, CA is hiring a Scheduler.

The Scheduler intercepts customer calls and schedules transportation. We are seeking friendly, customer service-oriented people who are dedicated to safety.

  • Vacation: up to 5 days per year

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that routes are established as efficiently as possible.
  • Maintains the routes for accuracy and efficiency.
  • May work with software programs to establish routes for drivers.
  • Verifies accuracy of driver’s route times and stop times on the actual routes are correct.
  • Demonstrates and promotes a safe environment at all times.
  • Assists the Contract Manager in establishing standard hours accuracy report.
  • May maintain on a spreadsheet driver miles and amount of time for drivers for billing preparation.
  • Answer customer calls and input ride information using a computerized scheduling system.
  • Enter new customer information and changes into the system.
  • Data entry into spreadsheets and databases.
  • Communicate late vehicle service and verifying “No Shows” with customers.
  • Resolve service‑related complaints.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years reservationist or customer service experience.
  • Computer literate with the capacity to learn new software.
  • Ability to operate a standard telephone system.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. Drug-Free Workplace.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
