Parts Specialist

About the roleAs a Parts Specialist, you will partner closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure seamless parts availability and accurate inventory management. Your responsibilities include maintaining optimal stock levels, overseeing the end‑to‑end ordering process, and ensuring all parts are received, tracked, and recorded correctly. This role is critical in minimizing downtime by monitoring inventory usage, maintaining accuracy, and proactively reporting on inventory levels and consumption trends.
Responsibilities- Accurately manage inventory which includes cycle counts and making necessary adjustments; update and set minimum and maximum parts levels.
- Ensure that the bins and parts are labeled accurately.
- Put away parts in their correct location from daily shipments.
- Maintain orders from time of the order request, quote (if applicable), adding orders into CMMS (Maximo), tracking and receiving.
- Support the inventory requests for work order corrections.
- Update and maintain daily and weekly inventory reporting and tracking.
- Partner with customer onsite on inventory requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree or related experience in parts and maintenance operations required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, or maintenance distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and have good communication skills.
- Experience with basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to solve problems.
- There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure; routinely walking up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure may be required.
- Will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground.
- Subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
- May be required to be at a construction site with PPE required (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection such as a safety harness).
- Frequent ability to safely and efficiently lift items weighing up to 50 lbs and move items weighing up to 80 lbs.
- Stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours and will frequently be required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. Standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required.
- Must be capable of occasional continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet. Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including lockout/tag‑out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.
The base range for this position in the posted location is $28.00 - $30.00, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), PTO and other benefits.
