Experienced Technology Integration Specialist for K12 education. The ideal candidate will have a robust knowledge of IT systems and troubleshooting. Candidate will provide critical technical support for our school district's hardware and software needs. As a Technology Integration specialist, you will work closely with educators, administrators, and other staff, as well as directly with students on occasion.

This position requires you to be in multiple locations in the Taylor County District.

This role requires a candidate who is patient, and who understands the unique challenges and rewards of supporting technology in a K12 educational environment.

• District-wide technology coordination, planning, implementation, and project management.
• Oversight of contracted network, server, firewall, backup, and cybersecurity services, serving as the primary district liaison between technology vendors and district administration.
• Administration of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, Entra , Intune, and other cloud-based technology services.
• Administration of district technology accounts, permissions, authentication systems, security groups, and access controls across enterprise technology platforms.
• Technology procurement, vendor coordination, contract management, and technology planning.
• Assist with site planning, purchasing, vendor coordination, and project management for district network infrastructure projects, including structured cabling, fiber optic installations, network expansions, technology infrastructure upgrades, and connectivity improvements at district facilities.
• Assist with the development of technology replacement plans, technology budget recommendations, and evaluation of technology investments in collaboration with district administration, technology staff, and contracted technology providers.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of technology standards, operational procedures, technical documentation, and system guidelines to support district technology operations.
• Participate in the evaluation, selection, standardization, and implementation of district technology systems, infrastructure solutions, hardware platforms, and software services in coordination with district technology staff and contracted technology providers.
• Collaborate with district technology staff, school administration, and contracted technology providers to evaluate technology needs, assist with developing solutions, and help ensure the successful implementation and integration of technology systems and services throughout the district.
• Administration of the district's Cisco VoIP phone system, including telecommunications services, call routing, voicemail, extensions, and system management.
• Administration of district security camera systems, video management software, recording servers, and related infrastructure.
• Administration of the district's emergency management and school safety platform, including user management, permissions, integrations, and system configuration.
• Participation in cybersecurity planning, disaster recovery preparation, business continuity initiatives, and technology risk management efforts in coordination with district technology staff and contracted technology providers.
• Administration of Google Workspace for Education, including management of the Big Bend Technical College (BBTC) student Gmail domain and associated services.
• Oversight and support of BBTC PEEL Grant technology initiatives and grant-funded educational technology programs.
• Support and administration of virtual reality (VR) hardware and software platforms utilized within career and technical education programs.
• Administration and support of zSpace augmented and virtual reality learning systems and related instructional technologies.
• Support, management, and troubleshooting of Apple iPads and associated devices used with healthcare simulation and CPR training equip ent.
• Technical support and coordination for the Advanced Manufacturing Building.
• Coordination of technology operations and support activities for Big Bend Technical College programs, instructional technology systems, workforce development initiatives, and specialized learning environments.
• Coordination between district leadership, school administrators, BBTC staff, technology vendors, contractors, managed service providers, state agencies, and regulatory organizations.
• Oversees all information technology aspects of new construction projects, including network infrastructure, telecommunications, hardware deployment, security systems integration, and ongoing technical support to ensure successful implementation and operation of technology systems in new facilities.
