Nammo Perry is a center of excellence for the design, development and production of munitions and pyrotechnic products for the U.S. Department of Defense. Nammo employees working at the Florida site manufacture all types of 40mm low and high velocity ammunition; pyrotechnic marking; signaling and tactical illumination devices; battlefield effects training simulators; demolition charges; hand grenade fuzes; and other ammunition components.

Additionally, they provide load, assemble, and pack (LAP) services for large caliber direct‑fire ammunition.

What You’ll Do:

Precision in Action
  • Procure direct materials and supplies in accordance with established policies, regulations, technical requirements, and program schedules with minimal oversight.
  • Serve as primary point of contact between Nammo Perry and its suppliers, ensuring effective and concise communication.
  • Locate, evaluate, and present suppliers based on price, quality, availability, reliability, warranty, technical support, and on‑time delivery records; supplier selection is made by the Supplier Selection Board.
  • Analyze price proposals, financial reports, price indexes, forecasts, and trends to determine fair and reasonable price with insight from Contracts and Supply Chain Director.
  • Write, negotiate, issue, evaluate, and monitor subcontracts and purchase orders to ensure suppliers comply with the terms and conditions of subcontracts and purchase orders and identify the need for changes.
  • Ensure flow down of all mandatory, applicable, and optional contract requirements and clauses to vendors and suppliers; coordinate with program/FFM and Contracts Management teams to ensure all obligations are met.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate availability to support production schedules.
  • Maintain and review records of items procured, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventory levels through purchasing and item maintenance in the ERP system.
  • Maintain supplier‑related records ensuring required compliance records, on‑time delivery records, quality or other delivery‑related issues, cost audit records (if applicable), and other pertinent supplier documents are readily available.
  • Support proposal efforts by issuing RFQs for required materials, tooling, and equipment.
  • Maintain good employee relations and adhere to the affirmative action plan, labor laws, and EEOC rules and regulations.
  • Maintain adherence to company policies and procedures, safety and environmental standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What Dedicated Teammates Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Entry‑Level Subcontract Position; 0‑2 years’ experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR requirements.
  • Experience with MS Project, MS Office, Great Plains, SAP, Dynamics 365 or Oracle software.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; capable of working in a team‑based atmosphere that includes manufacturing and office environments.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
Work Conditions and Requirements
  • Must submit to and pass a drug test pursuant to the Company Drug‑Free Workplace Policy, including random testing.
  • Must have good vision (may be corrected).
  • Must have no known hearing loss (may be corrected).
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit for prolonged periods.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing and be able to travel frequently.
  • Must have stamina to work more than the scheduled workday when needed, including nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to pick up, handle, and otherwise work paper.
