• Help the Division Engineering Manager/Director develop and implement engineering plans consistent with Cable One strategies, standards, and policies.
• Define best possible route and perform staking for fiber and HFC aerial and underground projects in accordance with construction specifications and RUS practices.
• Prepare staking sheets, CAD and construction drawings, and all permits required for each staking project.
• Support the systems’ build and maintenance efforts for the Fiber, HFC network and the video, high‑speed data, and voice products in the assigned systems.
• Provide advanced hands‑on assistance and support in all aspects of head‑end operations.
• Create and maintain engineering plans and strategies consistent with Cable One goals.
• Support local technical system staff in launches of new technical projects and initiatives.
• Offer advanced knowledge and experience to Technical Operations Managers and local technical system staff for new build activity.
• Create CIRs, ROs, and other required tasks to support capital projects, and provide guidance on proper financial control, inventory procedures, quality control, and overall project management.
• Guide system technicians on the use of network performance monitoring and surveillance tools to maintain and troubleshoot video, data, and voice networks.
• Assist the Engineering Manager/Director in monitoring system CMTS utilization and performance, and plan CMTS and physical system plant work to meet utilization expectations.
• Ensure the cable system operates within FCC regulations, manufacturer specifications, and Cable One engineering standards.
• Complete required system and head‑end testing and monitoring to ensure FCC compliance.
• Mentor and cross‑train Regional Engineer I team members.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four‑year college or university, and a minimum of ten years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in outside plant design, construction, or Geospatial Information Systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with telecommunications outside plant equipment, design, and construction techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong problem‑solving skills on complex issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
