Production Manager
MISSION / SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Supervisor is to work directly with and supervise a production workforce of approximately 50+/- employees per shift. This person will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of all aspects of the production process in accordance with operating targets, compliance with established customer quality and production standards.
JOB FUNCTIONSJob functions included but are not limited to the following.
- Manufacturing Supervisor schedule consists of 12‑hour rotating days and nights – generally includes every other weekend off.
- Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding.
- Supervise and lead the day‑to‑day shift activities, including scheduling, material handling issues, maintenance, and resolving production issues. Inspire the team to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.
- Drive consistent accountability of company policies and processes.
- Encourage and lead team members to work in a safe manner. Support safety standards and seek to improve work practices.
- Maintain quality standards and use Statistical Process Controls (SPC) techniques for problem resolution.
- Develop technical knowledge of equipment capability.
- Consistently demonstrate GPI’s Core Values – Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork.
- Actively participate in LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement programs and processes.
- Clearly understand customer requirements and deliver results that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Responsible and accountable for stopping any process that does not meet employee safety or customer quality requirements.
- Backup the Department Manager as needed.
- Partner with the department manager and the training supervisor to develop training assignments for all department employees and ensure timely completion.
- Accurately and timely submit daily pay‑period time records. Resolve all ADP time exceptions prior to the end of the pay period.
- Oversee vacation schedule to ensure proper coverage is secured.
- Initiate new hire evaluations at 60 and 90 days, providing accurate feedback related to performance.
- Participate on interview panels as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- General Production Supervisor schedules consist of 12‑hour rotating days, generally including every other weekend off. Employees must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally, which may include early mornings, nights, and/or off weekends, and be punctual while doing so.

- Bachelor’s degree required; in lieu of degree, 1–2 years of Supervisory experience.
- Leadership training preferred.
- 1–2 years of manufacturing experience required.
- Experience in a front‑line leadership position preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Demonstrated technical and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills; ability to motivate people.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
$72,700.00 - $96,900.00
