DescriptionSandler is a rapidly growing nonwoven manufacturer in Perry, GA. Growth offers opportunities for advancement. Sandler internally develops employees and rewards skill achievements through a pay‑for‑skills program.
PurposeEffectively perform maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure efficient production with minimal downtime. Facilitate maintenance processes by ordering spare parts, assisting contracted service providers, and communicating with machine suppliers. Provide training and mentorship to U.S. electrical maintenance personnel. Operate as a leadership team member to establish a cohesive, efficient working environment that aligns with company goals.
Roles & Responsibilities Maintenance Duties- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on production machinery, equipment, plant and utilities to meet or exceed production, waste, downtime and quality goals.
- Ensure optimal machine settings for efficient operations.
- Maintain equipment reliability by inspecting, troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and mechanical problems in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
- Responsible for workplace safety and order/cleanliness of the workshop area.
- Assemble and program electrical measuring systems, control and monitoring systems, and set target values.
- Measure electrical indicators such as voltage, electricity, resistivity, analog and digital signals.
- Set machine functions and document operating values.
- Compare system parameters to target values and optimize settings and programs.
- Install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain industrial machinery and operations equipment.
- Apply measurement, testing and diagnostics to identify malfunctions and localize repairs, considering mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical interfaces.
- Install, replace and retool components.
- Assist with review of maintenance work by sub‑contractors to ensure proper task completion and with implementation of new work orders.
- Support mechanical and maintenance activities involving bearings, drives, pulleys, belts and cleaning oil filters.
- Provide support for special projects related to future installation and expansion plans.
- Contribute to building a strong foundation of skilled maintenance personnel for Sandler’s nonwoven production lines.
