Job Description

Purpose

Ensure properly planned production, operation, machine settings, machine set‑up, organization of materials, and documentation; according to quality and hygiene requirements, safety regulations, and customer specifications.

Roles & Responsibilities Machine Operation
  • Set up machine and change machine settings for new work orders/lot changes based on the parameter checklist.
  • Prepare customer orders for manufacturing and understand each requirement, checking the order and sequence to ensure timely production.
  • Start up the production line.
  • Monitor the activities of the Machine Operator Assistant, including operation of the winder unit, labeling, quality inspection, packaging with the stretch‑wrapping machine, and sampling of finished rolls.
  • Serve as a backup for the Machine Operator Assistant.
  • Monitor production process to maintain optimal performance and quality.
  • Hand over shift information to the oncoming shift, including previous shift details, current production order, planned lot changes, malfunctions, and troubleshooting measures.
  • Document data related to quality and production requirements to facilitate efficient processes.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety, hygiene, and quality standards outlined by company policy and customer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workplace.
Maintenance
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning activities on production equipment, including the floor, control panel, and finger guard at the calendar unit.
  • Check photoelectric sensors for defects and pollution; check air tubes; inspect drive belts, conveyor belts, and deflecting rollers for wear, tear, noise, and heat.
  • Remove fiber web stuck in the carding unit.
  • Identify, record, and report malfunctions.
  • After repair, test to ensure machine function has been fully restored.
  • Maintain knives and winding rods.
  • Change calendar and machine settings when using a different calendar.
