As a Multi Craft Maintenance Technician, you will be a versatile, hands‑on asset to the operations team, working across departments to support safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. You will help prevent issues before they arise, apply strong problem‑solving skills to real‑time challenges, and promote a proactive, safety‑focused maintenance culture.

This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety, take initiative, and make a meaningful impact through continuous improvement and technical expertise.

1st Shift: Rotating 2‑2‑3, 6:00 am – 6:00 pm

• Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs complex machinery, including AC/DC/Servo Motor Control Systems and Instrumentation Control Systems.
• Collaborates with production associates and other technicians to solve reliability and urgency problems.
• Investigates and repairs electrical and mechanical systems and equipment, performing preventive maintenance.
• Maintains work records and prepares clear oral and written reports.
• Conducts root‑cause analysis on system and equipment malfunctions and identifies efficiency improvements.
• Recognizes and reports unusual, inefficient, or dangerous mechanical and electrical situations.
• Seeks ways to drive plant and maintenance cost efficiencies.
• Role‑models and mentors Maintenance Technicians, providing "hands‑on" training and direction to lower‑level mechanics and technicians.
• Utilizes appropriate safety precautions, methods, and apparatus to minimize exposure to chemicals, dust, and electrical hazards.
• Works all required work schedules.

• High School Diploma or GED with equivalent experience.
• 8+ years experience in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, or equivalent military experience.
• Expert proficiency in hydraulics, mechanics, electrical, PLC, welding, and rigging.
• Maintain Perdue Farms QEW certification.
• Commitment to continuous learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.
• Must be able to demonstrate/achieve and maintain Maintenance Tech III expert proficiency within 10 months of hire.
• Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and interaction with PLC hardware.

• 2‑year technical degree in engineering or industrial maintenance.

• Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, reaching overhead or at shoulder level, lifting up to 50 lbs., and performing repetitive tasks throughout the day.
• May need to move to other offices or buildings.
• May require day travel to nearby locations.
• Exposure to wet, moist floors, temperatures ranging 28°F to 100°F, 100% humidity, noise up to 110 dB, and chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing plants.
• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment as directed by the company.
