Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join our growing Family Medicine and behavioral health team. This role is designed to support the Practice Lead in managing an expanding patient panel due to high-volume growth, ensuring seamless continuity of care through a high-touch, psychotherapy-integrated model.
Clinical Scope & Responsibilities:
- Target Patient Demographic: Generalist practice catering to individuals from age 14 through geriatric populations.
- Care Spectrum: Focused management of a broad range of psychopathologies, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders.
- Scheduling & Engagement: Premium clinical workflow offering 90-minute intakes and 45-minute follow-up visits to facilitate deep patient connection.
- Core Procedures: Routine psychiatric assessments, psychotherapeutic interventions, utilizing specialized psychotherapy billing codes, and overseeing long-term care plans.
- Volume, Call, & Location: Daily caseload is strictly limited to a maximum of 10-11 patients. Dr. Purvis manages the vast majority of initial intakes to stabilize care plans. There are no mandatory call, evening, or weekend responsibilities. Practice operations are entirely on-site, with telehealth capped at 20% and reserved solely for stable, established individuals.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified PMHNP or Psychiatric PA
- New graduates are highly preferred, as the practice favors training providers from the ground up; candidates must possess strong academic rigor and substantial historical nursing experience (e.g., psychiatric nursing or ICU).
- Active, unrestricted license to practice in the state of Georgia.
