Driver

The driver is responsible for transporting finished chassis to the customer. Essential functions include conducting pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of vehicles and equipment, observing all safety rules and policies, preparing finished product for transportation through appropriate load securement requirements and safety procedures, delivering finished products to customers following approved delivery routes and specified delivery areas, unloading finished products at appropriate destination through approved procedures, coordinating necessary paperwork at the time of departure, at time of delivery, and at time of return, final inspection of finished product and repair of minor defects, receipt and delivery of miscellaneous goods as necessary or assigned, being flexible and assisting with production teams when necessary, assistance in vehicle or product repairs when necessary, and maintenance of good housekeeping practices always.

Competencies include the ability to work as a part of a team to achieve the company's overall goals, clear verbal and written communication skills (English), the ability to read and process written communication including work orders and measurements, meeting production goals and time deadlines for company projects, working with minimum supervision, demonstrating competency in transportation and over-the-road responsibilities, demonstrating welding competency and knowledge of welding systems, rotating to other production positions as the need arises or as is deemed necessary, operating a Lift Truck or Tractor as necessary, successful problem solving skills, exhibiting tact and diplomacy and maintaining professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.,

working under physically and mentally stressful situations, and prioritizing and easily adapting to changes through the day.

Qualifications include a Lift Truck Operators License preferred (training available). This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring. The physical demands include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, lifting and/or moving items over 50 pounds, and specific vision abilities required by this job. Protective Equipment supplied by the company includes coating suit, coating boots, spray socks, respirator, work gloves, safety glasses, and ear plugs.

Employees may be required to provide additional Protective Equipment (Safety Shoes, etc.). This is a full-time position with local travel. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
