Trillium Construction is hiring construction laborers for an airport runway lighting and carpentry project in Perry, Iowa.

This is a hands-on, physically demanding construction position working outdoors. Construction, electrical, or carpentry experience is preferred, but all experience levels are encouraged to apply.

Pay rate is $40.00 per hour. Schedule is Monday–Friday, approximately 40 hours per week. The project runs through September.

This is a two-phase project and is not expected to provide continuous work throughout the entire period. Depending on the project schedule, employees may work for approximately one month, have approximately one month off, and then return for the second phase. Candidates should be comfortable with this schedule before applying.

Job duties include: assisting with installation of airport runway lighting, digging and trenching, running and pulling wire, assisting with carpentry work, bending, kneeling, crawling, and working on hands and knees, lifting and moving construction materials, performing physical labor in outdoor conditions, and following all airport and construction safety procedures.

This position involves physically demanding outdoor work. Employees may be exposed to excavation and trenching, underground utilities and electrical systems, heavy construction equipment, uneven or rough terrain, dust, debris, construction noise, heat, rain, wind, and other outdoor weather conditions, frequent bending, kneeling, crawling, and lifting, slip, trip, and fall hazards. Candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions and following all required safety procedures.

Previous construction, electrical, or carpentry experience preferred. All experience levels are encouraged to apply. Must be comfortable performing physical labor outdoors.
