Job Description
Starting Date: School Year
Reports To: Assistant Superintendent
Work Year: 12 months
Work Day: Part-Time – 15 hours per week – Some Afternoon/Evening hours
Salary Range: Appropriate step on Support Staff Salary Schedule – Commensurate with experience/education
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED; post‑secondary training or equivalent work experience is advantageous.
- Excellent computer skills with speed and accuracy in Google, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; desktop publishing, spreadsheet, and database management. (Skills test may be required)
- Knowledge/Experience with Power School and Safe Arrival preferred.
- Excellent transcription, composition, spelling, and punctuation skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work alone or as an effective team member in a large multifaceted office environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with students, parents, employers, and educators.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload during peak demand periods.
- Willingness to be cross‑trained in other departments as required.
- General office duties as needed: greeting/assisting visitors, answering phones, record keeping, and filing procedures.
- Understanding of confidentiality requirements and ability to maintain it.
- Strong human‑relations skills with a demonstration of handling challenging situations professionally and calmly.
- Occasional requirement to lift and carry office supplies and materials up to 50 pounds.
- Documented evidence of a clear criminal record.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
- Maintain complete and accurate records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
- Actively assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulation, and Board policy.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with Penta Administration, staff, and member‑school personnel.
- Work under the guidelines of Penta’s Mission Statement and goals.
- Attend district and state professional development events.
- Remain free of any non‑prescribed controlled substance or alcohol abuse throughout employment.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Education, Superintendent, Career Technical Director, Supervisor, or their designee(s).
