Qualifications Include But Not Limited To:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License
- Ability to collaborate with Career Tech instructors, academic staff, and support personnel
- High degree of flexibility and a student-focused approach
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in classroom technology
- Clear criminal background check
- Understanding of Ohio's graduation requirements Ohio Content Standards, IDEA, Section 504, and Operating Standards and Procedures
Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
- Collaborate with general education staff to provide appropriate instruction for students in an inclusive environment
- Serve as a case manager for students with IEPs and 504 Plans
- Develop, facilitate and implement the IEP (Individual Education Plan) process
- Provide specially designed instruction, interventions, and strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Plan and implement universal design lessons aligned with academic content standards
- Monitor, document, and report student progress on IEP and 504 Plan goals
- Offer individualized support and interventions based on student needs
- Coordinate and contribute to ETR, BIP, and FBA development and meetings
- Ensure compliance with IEP and 504 Plan implementation and facilitate Manifestation Determination meetings
- Utilize instructional management systems to enhance student learning
- Administer assessments and use data to inform instruction
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and families
- Communicate and collaborate with teachers, families, and member-school representatives
- Act as a liaison between students, Career Tech instructors, transition coordinators, and school representatives
- Support student management, classroom instruction, curriculum development, and career/technical club activities
- Maintain accurate and compliant student records
- Enforce school rules, policies, and administrative regulations
- Work under the guidelines of Penta's Mission Statement and goals
- Participate in district and professional development activities
- Maintain and improve professional competencies
- Remain free of any non-prescribed controlled substance or alcohol abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district
- Assume any other responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Education, Superintendent, Career Technical Director, Supervisor, or their designee(s)
