Applicant MUST hold an Ohio teaching license in one of the following areas:
Pre K-3 with 4/5 Generalist endorsement or P-5 or K-8.

Qualifications:
- Appropriate and valid State of Ohio teaching certification/licensure
- Professional tact, diplomacy and presentation with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents and the community
- Conscientious and assumes responsibility for own work performance
- Good health, high moral character and good attendance record
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and a sincere desire to aid all students
General Description:
Help students to learn course of study objectives and skills which will lead toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional and psychological growth. Direct and evaluate the learning experiences of the students in activities sponsored by the school.
Essential Functions:
Maintain records as required by district policy; maintain professional ethicsEstablish and maintain cooperative professional relationshipsProvide evidence of professional growthModel appropriate dress and maintain professional distance from studentsProvide guidance and counsel to the students which will promote their welfare and their proper educational developmentAdminister the classroom and its program of organization and management. Discipline and control should be maintained at all times with those whom the teacher is charged with supervisingEstablish and maintain cooperative relationships with parents through effective use of interim reports, report cards, personal contacts and formal conferencesWrite clear and usable plans prior to instructional use as described by the principal with indicate direction for instruction and reflect the Board approved course of studyDemonstrate knowledge of subject matterBe prompt in arriving and dismissing a class in conformity with school schedules as well as reporting promptly to school and to any meetings calledPresent clear, complete and accurate explanations and instructions suitable to the level of all learnersApproach subject matter in a positive and enthusiastic manner. Present subject matter in a calm, self-confident and poised mannerReceive learners' questions comfortably and answer them clearly and completelyGive positive reinforcement to acceptable academic and social behaviorConsistently confront undesirable behavior with firmness and fairnessBegin and end lessons on timeDraw all lessons to a conclusion/culminationMonitor student behavior and activitiesShow respect and consideration for students, staff, parents, etc.Cooperate with extended exceptional programs, i.e. Special Needs, Gifted, Small GroupMake provisions/accommodations for individual differences in students to provide an equal opportunity for all children to demonstrate their knowledgePresent and display objectives clearlyPresent material relevant to the objective clearly and accuratelyProvide activities that will help learners meet the objectivesAsk relevant and probing questions throughout the lesson to check for understandingAsk questions of varying difficulty to accommodate students of varying abilitiesEncourage thinking and active student participationAssist in the selection of textbooks, equipment and other instructional materialsProvide homework that is relevant to the learning processMaintain accurate pupil accounting records and become familiar with the cumulative records of all students in classesProvide for the care and protection of district propertyMaintain current inventory of texts, supplies and equipment and other objects issued to the teacher for use in the classroomFoster positive school-community relationshipsRefer attendance, health and psychological/emotional problems to principal and/or guidance counselorShare responsibility for committees and co-curricular activities as assigned by the principal or superintendentAttend county, district and faculty meetings (seminars, conferences, workshops, etc) as adopted in the district's calendar unless excused by the principalOther
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings.
- Help instill in students the belief in and practice of ethical principals and democratic values.
- Conduct other duties related to the teacher's duties as assigned by the principal and/or Director of Special Education.

- Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue
- Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather conditions.
- Occasional interaction among unruly children.
