Long term substitute teacher needed for High School French Teacher - Starting in September for up to 12 weeks General Substitute License through the Ohio Department of Education required but would prefer P-12 French Rate of Pay $ 120.00/130.00 per day
Job ObjectivesCarries out the absent teacher's prepared lesson plan. During a prolonged absence as defined by board policy, the substitute is responsible for performing all essential functions identified in the absent teacher's job description.
Essential Functions- Valid Ohio teaching or substitute license or certificate in appropriate licensure area
- Documentation of a clear criminal record with evidence from BCI and FBI
- Self-directed and able to learn quickly
- Professional tact, diplomacy and presentation
- Conscientious and assumes responsibility for own work performance.
- Good health, high moral character and good attendance record.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and a sincere desire to aid all students

- Duties may entail occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue.
- Duties may require traveling to various buildings throughout the district.
- Duties may require occasional interaction among unruly children.
- Duties may require bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, standing, lifting, carrying and moving work related supplies/equipment.
- Duties may require prolonged use of a computer keyboard and monitor.
- Duties may require working under time constraints to meet deadlines.
- Duties may require operating and or riding in a vehicle.
- Potential for exposure to adverse weather conditions and temperature extremes.
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
