Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support engineered components, assemblies, tooling, or systems using CAD software (primarily Solid Works).
• Create, review, and maintain detailed engineering drawings, models, and documentation with appropriate tolerances and specifications.
• Evaluate existing designs and processes to identify opportunities for improvement in quality, cost, manufacturability, and efficiency.
• Support production by troubleshooting engineering, manufacturing, or assembly issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with machining, assembly, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Participate in new product development, reverse engineering, and custom solutions based on customer requirements.
• Use precision measuring tools to validate designs and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain engineering data within ERP and document control systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts.
• Support training, documentation, and knowledge transfer as needed.

• Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline or equivalent (preferred).
• 6 months to 3 years of engineering experience (preferred).
• Proficiency in Solid Works and/or Autodesk Inventor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong PC/computer skills, including word processing, data analysis, and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
