Sigma Technologies, Ltd. seeks a Power Make-Ready Design Supervisor to lead a team delivering safe, precise designs for telecom and utility infrastructure. In this role, you will oversee power make-ready engineering for utility poles, manage workloads, and ensure compliance with NESC, client, and utility standards. You will review designs, mentor designers, and coordinate with field and GIS teams to turn field data into constructible packages.
This collaborative, engineering-driven role offers growth into broader project leadership within specialized telecom and utility projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of designers and engineers producing power make-ready designs for telecom and utility projects.
- Review, approve, and refine utility pole loading, clearance, and attachment designs for accuracy and constructability.
- Ensure all designs comply with NESC, utility, and client standards, as well as safety and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with field, GIS, and CAD teams to translate field data into complete design and construction drawing packages.
- Manage project schedules, priorities, and workloads to meet milestones and client expectations.
- Collaborate with clients, utilities, and internal stakeholders to resolve design issues and clarify project requirements.
- Implement quality control processes and standards for make-ready designs and documentation.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, providing technical guidance and training.
- Support proposal development, level-of-effort estimations, and resource planning for make-ready projects.
- Monitor project performance and contribute to continuous improvement of design methods and tools.
