The Planet Group is currently seeking aMunicipal Project Manager for a growing company in thecivil engineering and infrastructure industry. Qualified candidates must have aBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, an active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio, and 10+ years of civil engineering experience focused on site development and/or municipal infrastructure.
Our client is seeking an experienced Municipal Project Manager to support and lead the delivery of civil engineering, site development, and municipal infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction. This role will be based in the Toledo, Ohio office and offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects supporting the continued growth and development of communities throughout Ohio and the surrounding region.
- Manage civil engineering projects from planning and design through construction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring successful project delivery and strong long-term relationships.
- Lead project teams, including engineers, designers, and technical staff across multiple offices.
- Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and overall project performance.
- Serve as Engineer of Record when applicable and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and permitting requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and other technical disciplines.
- Review engineering plans, specifications, reports, and project deliverables for quality and compliance.
- Support site development and municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, drainage, grading, and related infrastructure.
- Support proposal development, fee preparation, client presentations, and business development activities.
- Participate in client meetings, project reviews, and construction-related activities.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineering staff.
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Toledo office and surrounding Ohio markets.
- Maintain a collaborative environment focused on technical excellence, quality, and client satisfaction.
