• 3‑month internship or longer.
• We allow flexibility to enroll in classes while working as an intern, if it doesn't interfere with the essential functions of the position.

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Applied Statistics or Computer Science preferred.
• First Solar encourages all interns to register their internship with their university.

• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL and advanced analytics tools.
• Working knowledge of AI and Generative AI concepts, including LLMs, embeddings, prompt design and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) for analytical and decision support use cases.
• Strong experience with data visualization and storytelling tools.
• Working knowledge of machine learning, statistical modeling and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with Lean, Kaizen and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Comfort working in cloud and enterprise data environments (e.g., Azure, data warehouses, APIs, ERP/SCM systems).

• Develop and deploy analytical, optimization and machine‑learning models to support supply‑chain planning, execution and optimization.
• Apply AI and LLM‑enabled techniques to accelerate insight generation, scenario analysis and decision support.
• Quantify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Automate data ingestion, transformation, analysis and reporting from enterprise systems.
• Translate analytical outputs into executive‑ready insights.
• Contribute to digital transformation and continuous‑improvement programs by embedding analytics and AI into day‑to‑day decision making.
• Upon completion, the intern is required to present their accomplishments and project summary to the leadership team.

• $18.00‑$30.00 hourly.
