Pro Mach is hiring a Grinder to support our Lako division. In this hands-on role, you will set up and operate CNC and Manual Grinding Machines. You will work with downloaded programs and adjust them to ensure accurate, high-quality parts.

We offer a modern, clean, safe, and climate-controlled work environment. We are not a typical machine shop. Our team focuses on building world-class packaging equipment for a global customer base.

Do you enjoy this work?

* Set up and operate CNC and manual grinders, including Chevalier, Kent, Jones & Shipman and Blohm machines, to perform surface and cylindrical grinding.

* Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to ensure accurate part production.

* Inspect and measure parts using precision instruments (micrometers, indicators, comparators, etc.) to ensure parts meet specifications.

* Perform routine machine maintenance and minor troubleshooting to maintain equipment functionality.

* Optimize grinding operations for efficiency, tool life, and part quality.

* Work with tight tolerances, often within ±0.0005".

* Collaborate with engineering, quality, and other production staff to resolve issues and improve processes.

* Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and quality protocols.

* Document work as required, including job travelers, inspection reports, and production logs.

* Assist in the training and mentoring of apprentices or junior machinists, as needed.

Salary Range: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

* High School Diploma

* 2+ years of grinding experience, preferably in a job shop or precision manufacturing environment.

* Proficient in operating Chevalier, Kent, Jones & Shipman, Blohm and other flat or cylindrical grinders.

* Strong understanding of grinding speeds, feeds, wheel selection, and coolant usage.

* Familiarity with various materials including tool steels, stainless steels, and hardened alloys.

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
